UNDP provides $600,000 in ICU equipment and training to Ministry of Health

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Country Office in Eritrea delivered $600,000 of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipment and training materials to the Ministry of Health.

UNDP in Eritrea aims to support the Ministry by providing vital equipment to both enhance the human and institutional capacity of the Ministry and to contribute to the provision of better health services to the general public.

The news ICU equipment will be installed in selected government hospitals and will be used to establish Intensive Care Units (ICUs) and replace old and obsolete equipment.

New teaching materials will be distributed to three associate nursing schools and will contribute to increasing the number of skilled labour that will be able to deliver quality healthcare services.
