Solar powered mini-grids to light up Areza and Maidma in Eritrea
UNDP Eritrea staff and Government counterparts took part in a knowledge sharing visit to the Sustainable Land Management projects sites in Serejeka, outskirts of Asmara city.
Eritrea is a country of varied landscapes. But driving from Asmara, the capital city, towards Keren town in the Anseba Region, you will notice a number of common features: Oases and water sources along the way are true hives of agricultural and economic activity.
Switzerland has signed an agreement with UNDP pledging US$ 2,112,000 (two million, one hundred and twelve thousand US dollars) to support Eritrea youth in skills development.
The Strategic Plan sets out the direction for a new UNDP, optimized to help countries achieve the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In Eritrea, land rehabilitation combats erosion and desertification, and helps restore agricultural productivity.
